A Print Publication Made for Turkey Hunting Enthusiasts
I hope you agree with me when I say that turkey hunting is a gift from a divine creator, providing one of the most majestic game birds in the world for our enjoyment. No species of game bird vocalizes more loudly and pronouncedly. No species of game bird displays itself more vigorously and beautifully. No game bird species create more memories and nightmares than our beloved Meleagris Gallopavo.
If anyone is unaware, print publications are now more expensive than ever to put together. Many companies find it more challenging to put magazines on shelves due to the current paper shortage and price escalations in ink and printing costs. The cost of distribution has risen as well. These have driven much print to the digital market (solely or as an option) due to marketing demographics, preferences of a younger generation, etc.
I, personally, enjoy a magazine in my hands. There is an inherent “feel” to a good publication. Excellent content tends to be better appreciated and embedded in a reader’s mind when in a reader’s grasp. I’ve been disappointed in the lack of printed media addressing one of the iconic species on earth and the “rock star” following of its pursuers.
In response to this disappointment, I have launched this publication without the help of corporate backing to buffer the possibility of immediate failure. Your hard-earned dollars are the only thing supporting this magazine, nothing more.
Although it is priced a few dollars more than a “news-stand mainstay’” with your help, I intend to build this periodical into one of the most admirable magazines that the hunting public has been offered.
With that said, I realize that I am trying to climb a mountain that any sane person wouldn’t attempt. I’m meeting the challenge head-on by promising a great product at a fair price. You’ll be more than satisfied with my efforts, I guarantee it.
